Natural gas fire pit installation on the Eastside.

Sound Fire Solutions handles outdoor fire pit installation from the burner to the gas line. We design and install natural gas fire pits, propane fire pits, fire tables, fire bowls, and linear fire features for backyards across the Eastside.

Gas, propane, and wood-burning fire pits.

We start with the view, the patio, and how you use the yard, then pick the fire feature and fuel to suit it. Some yards want a simple fire table or a 48″ round fire pit that seats eight. Others want a linear fire pit in a seat wall or a fire-and-water feature by the pool.

Burners and ignition built to last outside.

The burner decides how the flame looks and how easy the fire is to use. We install Warming Trends Crossfire brass burners, sized to the gas supply and the build, and choose ignition that fits how you want to light it.

Gas line, propane line, and drainage.

A gas fire pit is a permitted gas job, not just landscaping. We trench and run the gas line and add drainage so rain does not sit in the burner pan.

Fire glass, wind guards, covers, and gas conversions.

The finishing pieces change how the fire looks and how long it lasts. We can also convert an existing wood-burning fire pit to gas when the structure can safely take a burner.

Fire pit installation questions.

Short answers to what homeowners ask us before the first site visit.

Question 1 of 5

How much does fire pit installation cost?

It depends mostly on the fire feature, the fuel, and how far the gas line has to run. A pre-fabricated fire table near the house is a smaller project than a custom-built fire pit at the end of a long trench. You get a fixed quote after a site visit.

Question 2 of 5

Do I need a permit for a gas fire pit?

Yes. A new or extended gas line needs a permit, a pressure test, and an inspection before the trench is covered. We file it and carry it through to sign-off.

Question 3 of 5

Should I get a natural gas or propane fire pit?

Natural gas is the better choice when service is on the property and the run is reasonable, because the supply never runs out. Propane makes sense when there is no gas service on the property.

Question 4 of 5

Can you convert my wood-burning fire pit to gas?

Often. If the structure can safely take a burner and gas can reach it, we install a burner and run a permitted line. If it cannot, we tell you before quoting.

Question 5 of 5

What is the difference between a fire pit and a fire table?

A fire pit sits at low seating height and is often built from stone. A fire table is taller, with a wide ledge for drinks and plates. Both run on the same kinds of burners and gas.
